Tiny wooden frames for raised plantings 1/12

Materials required:

app. 1 cm wide and 2 mm thick wood
3 mm thick cardboard
ground coffee or tea
PVA wood glue
white acrylic paint
green paper yarn

Tools required:

pencil
craft knife and scissors
sanding paper
thick needle

1.
For one frame you will need:
(cut the pieces from 2 mm thick wood)
4 pieces: 8 cm x 1 cm
4 pieces: 6,5 cm x 1 cm
8 pieces: 2 cm x 1 cm

Base for the plants:
(cut from 3 mm thick cardboard)
4 pieces: 6 x 7,5 cm

2. To make the sides, glue the wooden pieces together.
Use 2 cm long pieces as legs and glue the 8 cm long and 6,5 cm long pieces into them.

3. Let the glue dry and paint the frame with white acrylic paint.

4. Glue all four cardboard pieces together and let the glue dry.

5. Spread PVA glue and cover the cardboard with it.

6. Sprinkle grounded coffee or tea into the glued surface. Gently press the surface and let it dry.

7. Cut 3 cm long pieces from green paper yarn, you will need 12 pieces for one frame.

8. Carefully open the yarn from the middle and make it into leaf-shaped form.

9. Use a thick needle and press a few mm deep holes into the cardboard. Press paper yarn leafs into the holes. I put 12 plants in one frame, in three rows.
